I’m an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Occidental College and a Lecturer of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. I’m also a Lecturer at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where I teach an original course on the Psychology of Music and Sound.
I earned my Ph.D. in psychology, with an emphasis in cognitive neuroscience, at the University of California, Los Angeles, under the guidance of Martin Monti (learn about his super-cool work here). I also have a passion for improving statistical understanding and statistical practice in the sciences.
My current research projects explore questions about:
· musical rhythm perception
· auditory illusions
· the multiple comparisons problem in behavioral science
